Humbled and Heartbroken.

So when I was sick last week, I had a lot of time to think because I was basically just sitting around. It was frustrating at first because I felt like I wasn't doing anything productive at all but God really humbled me. "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it." Isaiah 30:15 He is at work all the time whether I am or not. I couldn't be physically present but I got to intercede for my squad through prayer. Please continue to pray for unity among us as we serve God together. "Love must be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good.  Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.  Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord.  Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.  Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.  Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.  Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.  Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Try to do what is honorable in everyone's eyes.  If possible, on your part, live at peace with everyone." Romans 12:9-18 Last Sunday night was a big encouragement for all of us, I think. We went to a different church in another part of town. A local missionary preached and talked about being real with one another and living in true community. It reminded me of how we are all the same in Christ and we should love people just like Jesus did (and does). We should love people well and with our whole heart. I've been going through a process of being broken and realizing all that God has done in my life and rescued me from and it's very overwhelming at times. I am so grateful for all His blessings and feel honored to serve the Creator of the universe. I read Job this week and it made me feel very small in comparison to how big God is. It's so beautiful here and every day I'm amazed at my Maker. Life is so hard sometimes and bad things happen a lot and most of the time we have no clue why but that's why we have to trust God and hold onto the promises He has given us. One day this week we went to a different village and it was so humbling to see how they lived. There were pigs everywhere and little shacks made out of sticks and tarps. We held a church service there and they were full of joy and praise for God. They were so thankful for us coming and prayed over our team before we left. It makes me wonder why we, who have sooo much are so ungrateful sometimes. These people are such a blessing and are always teaching me new things about the Lord. We had our first Bible study with the girls from Bethel on Friday and it went well. There were only 6 girls because they said their friends didn't want to come. So please pray that God uses the girls we do minister to, to reach out to their communities. Also, please pray for the men of Nicarauga who work in the sugar cane fields. They are slowly dying of kidney disease because they do not have the funds to get dialysis or the medical supplies they need to function with the disease. We met and prayed over a few of them and it is very heartbreaking and discouraging. Please be in prayer that they can find what causes it and for the men's families as well. If you would like to donate to help provide for this need you can go to http://www.visionnicaragua.org/. Thank you all again for your prayers and support! "Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell about all His wonderful works! Honor His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice. Search for the Lord and for His strength; seek His face always. He remembers His covenant forever, the promise He ordained for a thousand generations." Psalm 105:1-4, 8
