Hi Friends and Family!
I hope all of you are doing great! I am writing this letter to tell you about the mission trip I will be going on with Adventures In Missions (AIM) from September until May of next year. I came home from college last semester really frustrated and discouraged. I was not satisfied just sitting in a classroom every day and doing the same old routine. I needed to get out of my comfort zone. So I prayed and asked the Lord to help me find a trip to go on where I would be able to experience His love for the nations and show His eternal love, not only spiritually but by meeting physical needs as well. He led me to this trip with AIM.
I will spend 9 months overseas with a team of 27 people being the hands and feet of Jesus. I have always had a heart for the overlooked and hurting people of the world. I believe that these are the people Christ hung out with the most: the poor, crippled, weak, imprisoned, widowed and orphaned. As believers we are called to show God’s unconditional love, compassion and acceptance to all people. God commands His children in Isaiah 1:17 to “stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.” We will be going to Honduras, Thailand and South Africa. I cannot wait to be a part of what God is doing in these countries. We will be partnering with local churches in each area to share the Gospel and plant new churches, work in orphanages, and minister to women trapped in sex trafficking.
I am confident that the Lord will provide financially for this journey. This is where you can help! I ask that you would consider giving to help me be able to go on this trip. I promise it will not only be a blessing to me, but to you as well as you partner with me in this ministry. And the blessing will be multiplied to many others through your gift! The first payment is due June 21st and the whole cost of the trip is $11,900. If everyone gives my goal can be reached!! More than anything, please commit to praying for our team, because we know “the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16).
You can either send the money to my home address, 107 Southfield Drive, Savannah, GA 31419 and I will deposit it into my fundraising account OR I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at: http://cassiekohler.myadventures.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed. Also I will be posting pictures and updating my blog throughout the trip so you can look there to see how our team is doing and for prayer requests.
Romans 10:14-15 says,”How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!””
I am so excited to see the mountains God will move in these coming months! Each of you has played a special role in my life and I want to thank you for that. You are all a huge blessing and I am grateful that I get to share this ministry with you! Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you consider partnering with me in this ministry.
HIS servant,
     Cassie Kohler
